Lord, teach us to pray

Praying is a conversation with God which does not change him – who had no alteration or the shade of it – but me. God does not need my nicely constructed sentences but I need him because I am a real man in him, in relation to him. God calls us because he wants to have a conversation with our heart. He neither wants to teach us a new Lord’s Prayer nor wants us to have more well-organized prayer-meetings. He wants us to feel thirsty for the companionship with him. He wants us to be people who pray endlessly and depend on him who have placed their life onto the palm of God to make it possible for Jesus to come for us in the clouds of the sky. ‚But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.’ 1Pe. 4,7
